Daisy Dots – Lacy Crochet Motif with Join

collage of 2 images, first image is a close up of a section of fabric made of lacey crochet motifs in white cotton, second image shows a single floral crochet motif in white on a darker background

Daisy Dots is an easy, Lacy Crochet Motif with Join. This simple motif creates a very pretty, open fabric. Made up of only two rounds resembling a daisy, this circular motif is treated as a hexagon, i.e. a six-sided motif.

Daisy Dots crochet motifs are joined whilst making the final round with sc (UK dc) & sl sts.
You can get this free pattern, with step by step photo tutorials from my online Crochet Motif Pattern Directory.

For best results, please use natural fibres such as cotton, linen or wool blends. This kind of lacey motif does not work well in plastic yarns such as acrylic because it doesn’t have stitch memory.

In my sample, I have used Paintbox DK Cotton Yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook.
Each motif uses 1.32g (3.3m / 3.61yds) & measures approx. 7cm / 2 3/4 inches across.
