Mezzacraft – Sharing the Art of Crochet

Modular Crochet Course- Walton-on-Thames – Starting 6/10/25

modular crochet motif and colorful blocks crocheted in merino wool

Learn how to crochet in blocks of different colours without any sewing! On this 2 week course (2 x 2 hour sessions) you’ll learn the modular crochet technique. Modular crochet is particularly great for blankets and scarves and is the technique I use for my upcoming Advent Calendar CAL. It’s a great way to use up scraps of yarn (must all be of the same thickness). I’m running this Modular Crochet Course in the daytime at the Riverhouse Barn and in the evening at St. Erconwald’s – both in Walton-on-Thames. Please make sure you book the correct session.

Skill Level

For this Modular Crochet Course, students must be competent with basic crochet techniques, particularly double crochet (UK treble) & counting stitches. All other stitches and techniques are taught in class. This is a great course for improvers.
Please note: this is NOT a learn to crochet course.

Modular Crochet Course Overview

BONUS
You’ll also get a FREE copy of my Advent Wrap pattern for the CAL (crochet-a-along) which includes video tutorials and a chance to win prizes!

Dates

This is a 2 week course, running on either Monday afternoons or Monday evenings:

  1. 6th & 13th October 12:30-2:30pm – Riverhouse Barn.
  2. 6th & 13th October 7:30-9:30pm – St. Erconwalds Church hall.

Cost

The course is £40 for 2 weeks. Materials NOT included.

Class Format

All my classes come with detailed class notes and pattern. I provide samples and practical demonstrations of all techniques, helping and encouraging students with hands on assistance so that they can feel confident with their new found skills.

IMPORTANT: This is a new course and there is currently NO video content. I will have some very limited capacity during the 2 week course to create a couple of videos for specific techniques that students are struggling with. Therefore, please treat this course as an in-person only course.

Materials & Tools

Yarn: You’ll need either cotton or merino wool in DK in at least 3 colours but the more the merrier. Since we are purely learning the techniques (no final project/design) this is a great technique for using up all your DK cotton from previous classes.

Hook: 3.5mm – 4mm

Other: Scissors, wool needle, stitch markers etc.
