New for this year, I am running this course at the request of several students. I have already taught this once at the Maltings and have now scheduled in these two new course dates for Monday daytimes or Tuesday evenings at the Riverhouse Barn & Monday evenings at St.Erconwald’s church hall, both in Walton-on-Thames. We’ll be making a handy storage basked out of recycled t-shirt yarn. This is a more relaxed course that’s not heavy on learning new skills and techniques but does offer a satisfying finished project as well as more opportunities throughout the class to chat and interact with your fellow students and friends.

Skill Level

Improver. Although this is an easy course, it is beneficial to be confident with basic crochet stitches such as sc (UK dc), dc (UK double crochet), chaining, slip stitching and counting stitches. All other techniques will be taught in class.
This is NOT a learn to crochet course.

Tools & Materials

Recycled t-shirt yarn (provided).
8mm-9mm hook with integrated handle (hooks with separate handles such as Clover Amour are NOT suitable).
Locking stitch markers.
4mm hook for weaving in ends.
Scissors.

Kits

The course comes with a skein of tshirt yarn and and the option of a 9mm hook.

Cost

£50 – 2 x 2 hour sessions + 800g recycled cotton t-shirt yarn (no hook).
£56 – 2 x 2 hour sessions + 800g recycled cotton t-shirt yarn + 9mm ergonomic hook.
