I made this Easy Striped Granny Square Cushion Cover to use up scraps of cotton yarn left over from doing demos at my beginners classes. I also wanted to create an easy “next project” for my students so they could build on their newly acquired skills and really get their crochet muscle memory embedded!
The yarn I’ve used in the tutorial is Cotton DK by Ricorumi in various colours but you could use any DK cotton yarn.
The motifs I have used in this pattern are a slight variation of my “Solid Granny Square”. Take care to follow the instructions as not every round is the same as we need to do some extra increasing to stop the fabric becoming too “open” as the motif get bigger.
