surrey crochet course bag

Flower Bag Crochet Course – Surrey – Riverhouse Barn – Friday 13th January 12:30-2:30pm

January 5, 2023 //  by mezza//  1 Comment

A 4 week course where we will make a bag with a lovely flower motif.

Skill Level – Improvers

You’ll need to be confident with the basic crochet stitches such as chaining, double crochet (UK treble), single crochet (UK double).
You wouldn’t need to attend every class, however, missing the first class would not be ideal and you’d still have to pay for the whole course – but of course you’d receive any relevant class notes/links to videos.
Not suitable for complete beginners.

Flower Bag Crochet Course

Techniques covered :

  • Making a 3D flower.
  • Joining motifs with a decorative slip stitch join.
  • Making a sturdy strap
  • Lining the bag.

Times & Dates

Materials

DK yarn in 3 or more colours. I recommend natural yarns such as cotton.

Colour A is the colour of the flower. So you could use multiple colours or a colour changing yarn.
Colour B is the round behind the flower and when a green is used, can look like leaves.
Colour C is the main colour of the bag & handle.

Optional: Fabric for lining.
